We have more updates on Les's magnificent Ford GT40. The car had it's first outing at Wakefield Park Racing Circuit. GAC Member Barry Ferguson is once again competing in a very competitive retrospective rally. This time it's the 30th Anniversary of the original Repco Trial. Barry will be driving the original works entered Holden Commodore that he drove in the 1979 event. Groupe Auto Classiche wishes him every success. Full details click REPCO

"Festival of Sports Cars" ORAN PARK Sunday 25th January 2009"
 

The Vintage Sports Car Club of Australia have organised laps and luncheon for VSCCA Members at Oran Park on Sunday 25th January 2009. The day will be 31 years after the 3rd "All Historic Race Meeting" held by the VSCCA at Oran Park on 29th January 1978. This will probably be the final opportunity to drive a club car on the circuit, without Licences, Rollbars, Helmets etc..............

We have received an invitation by Steve Stuart to display the Clubs Classic Cars at the Four Nations Quadrangle being organised by the Bowral Polo Cross Club to be held at the Bong Bong Race Course on Saturday 18th April 2009. Cars would need to be at the venue by 10.30am, sharp. Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial revisits Mount Isa: The Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial arrives in Mount Isa on Thursday 11th September on the first leg of it's 7,600klm journey around Australia. The leading cars in the diverse field of almost 80 Classic Rally vehicles built prior to 1986 is scheduled to arrive at Buchanan Park from 6.30pm following their 883klm journey from Alice Springs that morning, the drive including three major timed competitive stages totalling just over 100kms in length.

Former Round Australia trial runner-up, and Quattro Club Member, Barry Ferguson in his ex-Holden Dealer Team Commodore is hoping to lead the field of more than 70 historic rally cars in the 2008 Red Centre to Gold Cast Trial into Mt.Isa on Thursday Sept 11.
 

Pick up a copy of the October issue of Unique Cars magazine (out September 12) to read Bob Watson's feature story on the Ferguson Commodore, which he battled against in the 1979 Repco Reliability Trial.
