| Tuesday October
21st Depart Launceston and travel to Hadspen to view Entally House. Then on via Longford to Symmons Plains Racing Circuit for some quiet laps of the track followed by lunch. Leaving Symmons Plains we will travel via Evandale, White Hills, Upper Blessington, Upper Esk, Fingal, St Mary’s and Gray to arrive at Diamond Island Resort in Bicheno for our overnight stay. |
| Wednesday
October 22nd From Bicheno we will travel down the coast via Swansea, Triabunna, Orford and Orielton then across to Richmond and on down to Barilla Bay for an Oyster orientated lunch. Off for the short drive into Hobart, the afternoon is free to take a stroll through the magnificent Botanical Gardens or whatever. Accommodation is at Somerset on the Pier for tonight and tomorrow night. |
| Thursday
October 23rd A day of relaxed sightseeing in the Huon area, but first, a drive to the top of Mt. Wellington and a bit of a wander about. Then down to Houn via some very devious little roads. We have organised stops at The Wooden Boat Workshop, Tahune Air Walk, Hastings Caves, Hastings Thermal pools (time for a swim). We will travel back to Hobart via Cygnet, Verona Sands, Woodbridge and Kingston. Accommodation is at the Somerset on the Pier. |
| Friday
October 24th Leaving Hobart we will travel via New Norfolk, Russell Falls, Ellendale, Hamilton, Bothwell, Poatina, Blackwood Creek, Bracknell, and Quamby Brook to arrive in Deloraine for our overnight stay at Penny Royal in Launceston. It is a very pretty drive – a rather long day – but the Mersey Valley scenery is second to none. |
Saturday
October 25th |
| Sunday
October 26th A leisurely day – we will travel from Smithton to Arthur’s River where we will board a river cruise which will take most of the day including lunch and a stroll through the rain forest. We will travel back to Smithton via Kanunnah Bridge, Roger River and Edith Creek to arrive back at Tall Timbers Hotel, Smithton for our overnight accommodation. |

October 29th We leave Smithton and travel via Wiltshire to Stanley where we will take a chair lift ride to the top of the Nut and havea massive seafood lunch before travelling via Wynyard, Lower Mt Hicks, Ridgley, Natone, Riana, Penguin, Spalford, Kindred and Forth to Devonport and arrive at the wharf ready to load the cars for the return trip to Melbourne |
